A one-product store is a landing page with a checkout. It needs one long, persuasive product page far more than it needs collections or menus — and it is the category where Shopify’s theme catalogue is thinnest.

Shopify’s Theme Store files 27 themes under its One Product catalogue size. The table ranks the ones it shows first — plus any free themes it tags for this category — by number of reviews, with the percentage of those reviews that are positive. Read on 24 September 2026. These are the store’s figures, not our verdict; themes marked with a dash are too new to have reviews yet.
The honest picture
Only 27 themes are tagged for one-product stores, none of them free, and none has a large review base: the most-reviewed, Startup, has 103 reviews at 83% positive. Treat every rating on this page as a weak signal.
That matters less than it sounds, because any theme can run a single-product store. Shopify’s free themes are built from sections you can stack on the product page — reviews, FAQs, comparisons, guarantees — which is most of what a one-product store needs.
What a one-product page needs
- A buy button that is always reachable, including on a long page on a phone.
- Room to explain: benefits, how it works, what is in the box, delivery and returns.
- Social proof from a reviews app — see our review apps comparison.
- Speed, because every visitor lands on the same page — see our speed tests.
When a page builder makes sense
For long sales pages the theme cannot express, a page builder can be worth it — with the caveat that pages built in one live inside the app.
Whatever you shortlist, preview it on your own store with your own products before paying: Shopify lets you try any theme free, and a theme that flatters its demo photos can look very different around yours.
Questions we get asked
Do I need a special theme for a one-product store?
No. A free theme with a well-built product page will do the job; the dedicated themes add convenience, not capability.
