Most stores install forty apps and need about ten. Here is one pick per job, taken from the App Store’s own data — rating, review volume and price — with a link to the full comparison behind each one.

The rule that saves the most money
Every app is a monthly charge on your Shopify invoice, and most add code to your pages. Install one per job, check each quarter whether you still use it, and uninstall anything you cannot name a reason for. The fees page lists everything that ends up on a Shopify bill.
How these picks were made
From each app’s App Store listing, read on 24 September 2026: rating, the number of reviews that rating rests on, and the listed price. We weight review volume heavily, because a high rating on a few dozen reviews is not a strong signal. None of these apps has been through our hands-on testing yet; each category page will say when one has.
